IMPORTANT NOTES

The sports medicine staff at Texas A&M-Commerce is dedicated to preventing injury, rapidly diagnosing and treating injury, in addition to maximizing athletic performance. Director of Sports Medicine Warren Young is assisted by full-time, cerified and licensed athletic trainers Kjerstin Gardner and Dustan Thrift; certified and licensed graduate assistant athletic trainer Tye Burch-Bowser and 20 student athletic trainers.

The T-Lounge Athletic Training Facility is located in the southwest corner of Memorial Stadium. This is mainly utilized by the football and the men’s and women’s cross-country/track & field teams.

The Lions largest treatment facility is located in the A&M-Commerce Field House.  At the Field House, available equipment includes: cryotherapy, hydrotherapy, moist heat, electrical muscle stimulation and ultrasound. A&M-Commerce student-athletes also perform rehabilitation at the local Physical Therapy Clinic.
