A&M-Commerce Athletic Director Carlton Cooper Addresses Paris High School Students, Faculty and Staff
Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Director Carlton Cooper served as the keynote speaker on Friday morning at the Black History Month celebration at Paris High School.
Cooper, who is originally from Paris and graduated from Paris High School, addressed the faculty, staff and students about his life journey and lasting friendships that have guided him throughout his life. Among the friendships that he recognized in his speech with longtime friends and fellow Paris, Texas natives Doug Wehrman and Randall Lewis, who he presented New York Times best seller book Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore.
His speech drew a standing ovation among the students, faculty and staff in the auditorium.
