Final Home Game Full of Events and Promotions

There is a full schedule of activities set for Wednesday's A&M-Commerce basketball games.

A&M-Commerce is just one of six NCAA Division II schools that are a part of the McLendon Foundation. John McLendon, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, is recognized as the first African American basketball coach at a predominantly white university. A&M-Commerce will recognize at the game Marques Haynes, who was presented for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame by McLendon, and Charles Goodall, who was the first African-American coach at A&M-Commerce.

There are special promotions for all ages as individuals that are 55 and older with a valid ID will receive complimentary admission, individuals that are eighth grade and under with a paid adult admission will receive a complimentary admission.

The latest promotion to be announced is one that requires A&M-Commerce students have to be in attendance prior to the women's basketball game. At the game, students are required to sign up for a chance to win a total of $650 ($100, $150 and two $200 prizes) distributed in four cash prizes. Attendance and a valid student ID are required to win the cash prizes announced throughout the game. The athletic department's regular scholarship drawing will still be taking place at half-time, as well.

Prior to the games, there will be recognition of A&M-Commerce basketball, cheerleading and athletic training seniors.
