LANCE FARMER NAMED LIONS' HEAD STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Director Carlton Cooper today announced the hiring of Lance Farmer as the Lions’ new Strength and Conditioning Coach. Farmer will work directly with all 11 A&M-Commerce intercollegiate programs, overseeing weight lifting, conditioning, fitness and nutritional workouts for all Lion student-athletes.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE PARTNERS WITH FOX SPORTS SOUTHWEST

A&M-COMMERCE ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF DANCE TEAM FOR 2012-13 SEASON
Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Director Carlton Cooper today announced the formation of a Lion Dance Team, which will begin in the fall of the 2012-13 athletic season and perform at various Lion home events. In addition, Cooper announced the hiring of Ashley Rocke as A&M-Commerce’s Head Dance Coach.

A&M-Commerce will once again serve as the host institution for the UIL Region II-3A volleyball tournament this weekend at the Field House. The regional semifinals will be held Friday, November 11, with the Region II-3A final being held Saturday, November 12.

Texas A&M University-Commerce head football coach Guy Morriss and the Lions coaching staff announced on Wednesday February 2 that 26 high school players have signed letters of intent to attend the university in the fall. An additional 5 transferred in at the semester break to bring the 2011 recruiting class to 31.
