A&M-Commerce Athletics Gives Back to the Community

Texas A&M University-Commerce student-athletes, coaches and administrators took part on Saturday in the Commerce Big Event and the 36th Annual Hunt County Special Olympics for a third-straight year.

The Commerce Big Event serves as a spring clean up day throughout the city of Commerce. A&M-Commerce student-athletes, coaches and administrators were involved in many projects including at the Blueberry Farm on Highway 24/50, the clean up of the streets in the Norris Community, cleaning up around the Northeast Texas Children's Museum and cleaning up the area around the Commerce Public Library. 

In addition, they were involved with the 36th Annual Hunt County Special Olympics, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Commerce. Student-athletes helped run various events as well as encouraged the competitors in their events.
