At the ACU Twilight Open on Thursday, Lyndon Wyse recorded a NCAA provisional mark in the long jump with a leap of 23-7 ½. He also was second among collegiate competitors in the triple jump, matching a season-best with a jump of 49-2 ¼. The long jump performance currently ranks 29th among competitors who have posted a NCAA provisional jump; meanwhile, his performance in the triple jump ties the 10th best mark.

Sophomore Jeff Rayome posted a season-best throw in the shot put with a toss of 51-5 and junior Leslie White was third in the javelin with a throw of 172-7 and fourth in the high jump with a clearance of 6-7 ½. At last weekend's Lone Star Conference Championships, White posted a clearance of 6-8 ¾ to win the high jump that currently is tied for the 21st-best mark in the nation.

With the selections to be announced next week for the upcoming NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, California, the Lions will look to have multiple competitors for the sixth-straight year.
