For the sixth-straight year, the Texas A&M University-Commerce track and field team will have multiple competitors in the upcoming NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Lions will be represented in the triple jump by Lyndon Wyse and in the discus by La'Shara Jefferson at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the campus of Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, California.

Wyse, who enters the meet with the 11th-best mark in the nation at (49-2 ¼, 14.99m), will jump at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson will arrive with the third-best mark in the nation (159-4, 48.57m), will compete on Saturday at 8:05 p.m. The mark in the discus eclipsed the 12-year old school record of 151-10 that was held by Michelle Macek.
