Prior to A&M-Commerce: A four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field at Burroughs High School...an honorable mention all-area selection as a senior in cross country...a four-time city preliminary qualifier in cross country, and league champion her junior year...named MVP of the Burroughs cross country team her sophomore, junior, and senior years...named MVP of the track team her junior and senior years...participated in the Mt. SAC cross country invitational all four years of high school, as well as the Mt. SAC Relays for track and field her junior year...finished second at the McFarland Cross Country Invitational in cross country her senior year...graduated with honors.
