Lions' Men's Cross Country Picked to Finish Ninth; Women 12th in the LSC
The Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s cross country team was picked to finish ninth and the women were picked to finish 12th in a Lone Star Conference preseason poll conducted by members of the media, head coaches and sports information directors announced on Tuesday.
Among the top returnees for the Lions are local products, senior Brandon Womack from Lone Oak on the men’s side and the women will be led by senior Kate Donovan (pictured), who is from Kemp.
On the men’s side, Abilene Christian picked up 20 of 22 first place votes to win their 20th straight conference title. The women’s title is also projected to have a repeat champion as Midwestern State is picked to win its third-consecutive title.
