A&M-COMMERCE ANNOUNCES "LIONS FOR LIFE" WALK AT MEMORIAL STADIUM
COMMERCE, Texas -- Texas A&M University-Commerce Athletic Director Carlton Cooper has announced the "Lions For Life" Walk in an effort to help both the university and Commerce communities remain active and healthy. Beginning Monday, June 6, the track at Memorial Stadium will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
"We wanted to do something to utilize our stadium and use it in a way to help out both the university and the community," Cooper said. "By opening the track, hopefully it will provide an extra avenue for people and fans to achieve their exercise goals and help promote a healthy environment at A&M-Commerce."
Each Monday and Wednesday, lanes four through six of the Memorial Stadium track will be open free of charge from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. to anyone looking to walk, jog or run. The facility will be available for anyone at the university, the Commerce community or anyone looking for an ideal venue to come and exercise.
