Cardell Hunter Named Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week
Texas A&M University-Commerce junior guard Cardell Hunter (Dallas, Texas/Carter HS) scored a season-high 22 points and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in the Lions' 85-67 win over No. 14 Tarleton State en route to being Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week on Monday.
Hunter made seven of eight free throws as the Lions knocked off the nationally-ranked Texans in a team-high 34 minutes of action. He and teammate Rashad Brown became the first Lions' teammates since Brown and Scooby Johnson to both have a double-double in the same game since December 30, 2007 against St. Edward's.
Hunter, who will celebrate
his 21st birthday later this week, and the Lions return to action
on Thursday against Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Arkansas at 7

The next home game for the Lions at the A&M-Commerce Field
House will be on Tuesday, December 9th against Southern Arkansas at
7 p.m.
