DeUndrae Spraggins and Sammy Jackson Earn Hilltopper Holiday Classic All-Tourney Accolades

Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball players - Sammy Jackson and DeUndrae Spraggins were recently named to the Hilltopper Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team.

Spraggins, who was also selected as the tournament's Most Valuable Player, scored 37 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had four steals in the Lions' two wins over Missouri S&T (Dec. 29, 67-62) and No. 5 Arkansas Monticello (Dec. 30, 72-69). Jackson came off the bench to score 27 points, grab eight rebounds (four offensive) and hand out four assists.

It is the second time in 2008-09 that the two have been named to all-tournament team, both earned recognition at the season-opening St. Edward's Shootout.

Spraggins, Jackson and the Lions will now turn their attention to a rigorous Lone Star Conference schedule, starting with a contest at Abilene Christian on Saturday, January 3rd at 4 p.m. in Abilene.
