Prior to A&M-Commerce: Prior to attending Clarendon Junior College, he was a two-time district MVP, all-district and all-region standout at Avinger High School...earned all-state recognition as a senior...led team to area title titles as a junior and senior...a four-year letterwinner on the basketball and tennis teams and three times on the track and field team...holds school single-game scoring record with 62 points...won the state triple jump as a senior and finished second in the long jump as a junior.
