Former Lions Standout Kevin Widemond Dies in Portugal

Former Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball player Kevin Widemond died on Sunday in Portugal.

Texas A&M University-Commerce athletic director Carlton Cooper said, "We are deeply saddened to hear this news and our sympathies are with him and his family."

“Kevin was one of the best teammates and human beings that I had a privilege to work with,” said Texas A&M University-Commerce head men’s basketball coach Sam Walker.
