Cardell Hunter Named Lone Star Conference North Division Offensive Player of the Week

Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball senior guard Cardell Hunter was named the Lone Star Conference North Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. 

The Dallas, Texas native scored 14 points in each of the Lions' wins, over the weekend. In addition to his 14 points, he had career-high 12 assists in the Lions' 105-82 win over Langston. Also with his 14-point effort in a 73-59 win over St. Mary's, Hunter had six assists and three steals in the win.

For the season, Hunter is one of four members of the 4-0 Lions that have a double-digit scoring average with 10.5 points a contest. He is also averaging 5.2 assists and 2.1 steals a game. It is the second player of the week honor in his career. 

Next, Hunter and Texas A&M-Commerce will play three games in five days as they take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday, December 3rd at 7 p.m. After facing the Javelinas, they will take on Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, December 5th at 7 p.m. before returning home for the first game at the A&M-Commerce Field House at 7 pm on December 8th against Henderson State.
