RICHARDSON, Texas -- A&M-Commerce seniors Brad Hambrick and Desmond King and junior Andrew Davis received Lone Star Conference postseason accolades, announced by league officials at the Lone Star Conference Championships banquet in Allen. Davis highlights the Lion accolades, being named Academic Player of the Year, with Hambrick and King both earning All-Conference honors.

Hambrick was named a second team All-Conference selection for the second consecutive year after posting another stellar season for A&M-Commerce. He ranks second in the LSC in three point field goal percentage (41.0) and three-pointers made per game (2.3) while sitting fourth in free throw percentage (81.4). Hambrick has etched his name in the Lion record books, becoming the program's all-time three-point leader with 226 treys and surpassing 1,000 career points in an A&M-Commerce uniform.

Davis earned his second-straight All-Academic team nod and it comes on the heels of being named a third team Academic All-American. He has had his best season as a Lion, setting personal bests in nearly every statistical category while leading the team in defensive rebounds (3.6) and sitting second in rebounds per game (4.9). Davis also ranks among the Lone Star Conference leaders in both categories.

King received a pair of honors, being named an honorable mention All-Conference selection while joining Davis on the All-Academic team. The 2011-12 LSC Preseason Player of the Year, King has continued to impress, leading the Lions in both points (15.3) and rebounds (5.8) per game while sitting second in field goal percentage (55.0). He ranks among the conference's leaders in five statistical categories, recording double-digit point totals in 23 games this season with three double-doubles.

The All-Conference team was voted on by the Lone Star Conference's head coaches while the league's sports information directors voted on the All-Academic Team. Hambrick, Davis and King all played key roles in helping the Lions to a late season surge, qualifying for the 2012 Lone Star Conference Championships. A&M-Commerce, the eight seed in the tournament, faces top-seeded Midwestern State in the quarterfinals Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Allen Event Center.
