Ricky Hope Earns Third All-American Honor
Texas A&M University-Commerce senior Ricky Hope picked up his third All-American honor on Thursday when he was named to the Second Team D2Football.com All-American Team.
Earlier, he was named to the Associated Press Little All-America Second Team on December 19th and to the Daktronics All-America Second Team on December 9th.
Hope led the Lone Star Conference with 10.5 sacks and six forced fumbles as well as being second in tackles for loss en route to LSC North Division Defensive Lineman of the Year and first team all-LSC North Division honors.
Nationally, Hope was tied for second in tackles for loss per game with 1.95 and tied for sixth in sacks per game with 1.05.
The staff of D2Football.com selected the D2Football.com All-America Team with input from coaches and sports information directors from around the country.
Since its inception in 2000, D2Football.com has named an All-America Team and Hope is fifth player in school history to earn recognition.
