Nabil El-Amin Named Co-LSC North Division Offensive Player of the Week
Texas A&M University-Commerce
senior running back Nabil El-Amin on Monday was
named the Lone Star Conference North Division Co-Offensive Player
of the Week.
The Rochester, New York native rushed for a career-high 194 yards
and scored twice in the Lions’ 27-15 win over East Central in
the inaugural Harvey Martin Classic on Saturday in the Cotton Bowl
in Dallas.
For El-Amin, it was his third multi-touchdown game of his career
and first in 2008. It is the first weekly honor for El-Amin in 2008
and the third of his career. The Lions have had seven performers
earn weekly recognition in 2008 and head coach Scotty Conley has
had 28 since his hiring prior to the 2004 season.
