A&M-Commerce Football Signs 25 Recruits and Adds Two Transfers

Texas A&M University-Commerce head football coach Guy Morriss and the Lions coaching staff announced on Wednesday that 25 high school players have signed letters of intent to attend the university. An additional two transferred in at the semester break to bring the 2010 recruiting class to 27.

The Lions are coming off its first outright conference division title since 1990 and reloaded the squad with three linebackers, four defensive backs, four wide receivers, five offensive linemen, six defensive linemen, a fullback, a quarterback and a punter.

Among the signees are teammates from Duncanville High School (Darrin Brown and Tevin Moore), Kennedale High School (Anthony and Evan Booher), Hillcrest High School (Carrington Brown and Isaiah Cobbin) and Sam Houston High School (Kenzee Johnson and Jose Martinez) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

A&M-Commerce also added Division I transfers - Cal Farley, a quarterback and Michael Johnson, a safety at the semester break.
