T.J. Nielsen and Blake Patton Named to the Lone Star Conference North Division All-Academic Team

Sophomore T.J. Nielsen and junior Blake Patton of the Texas A&M University-Commerce football team were named to the Lone Star Conference North Division All-Academic Team for their academic efforts which were announced by league officials recently. 

Nielsen is kinesiology major from San Antonio, who made seven catches for 66 yards in 2009. Patton is majoring in environmental science from Baytown, Texas, who made 28 catches for 359 yards and three touchdowns in 2009.

The All-Academic Teams are voted upon by the league's sports information directors. To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes need at least a 3.30 GPA and must be at least a sophomore. All qualifying student-athletes not voted to the All-Academic Team are then placed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
