William Green and R.J. Brisbon Earn 2009 Daktronics All-Region Honors

Texas A&M University-Commerce senior defensive lineman William Green (pictured) and senior offensive lineman R.J. Brisbon were named to the 2009 Daktronics South Central Regional Football First and Second Team, respectively on Tuesday.

Green, who was also named the Lone Star Conference North Division Defensive Lineman of the Year, led the team with 18.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. He also managed to block two kicks and pick off a pass. Green was also selected first team all-LSC North Division after being recognized as the preseason LSC Defensive Player of the Year. Green will advance on to the national ballot for All-American consideration.

Brisbon, who earned Lone Star Conference North Division Offensive Lineman of the Year honors for a second-straight, was named to the second team. The Lions offense behind Brisbon picked up 761 yards on the ground threw for 2,220 more.
