William Green Named Daktronics Second Team All-American

Texas A&M University-Commerce senior defensive lineman William Green was named Daktronics Second Team  All-American on Tuesday.

Green, who was also named the Lone Star Conference North Division Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2009, led the team with 18.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks. He also managed to block two kicks and pick off a pass. Green was also selected first team all-LSC North Division after being recognized as the preseason LSC Defensive Player of the Year

He is the third Lions' student-athlete to earn All-American recognition from Daktronics, joining Ricky Hope in 2008 and J.D. Hearn in 2005.
