Green, who was named Daktronics Second Team All-American on Tuesday, was also named the Lone Star Conference North Division Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2009. He led the team with 18.5 tackles for loss and 9 sacks. Green also managed to block two kicks and pick off a pass en route to being selected first team all-LSC North Division.

There will be another A&M-Commerce tie to the game as one of the assistant coaches will be Rex Norris, who received the Bobby Fox Outstanding Coach Award in 2006.

The Cactus Bowl is an NCAA Division II All-Star game that is in its 16th year.  The game was originally called the Snow Bowl and played in Fargo, North Dakota, but was moved to Kingsville, Texas in 2001.  All net profits from the Cactus Bowl are donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
