Fred Pagac is in his first season with A&M-Commerce, serving as the Lions' defensive line coach.
Pagac comes to the Lions after serving as a defensive quality control coach with the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. Previously, he served as a graduate assistant coach at Ohio State after earning four varsity letters with the Buckeyes as a player. Pagac played in 39 games with 10 starts, including playing on the 2002 Ohio State national championship team.
He was signed as a free agent by the St. Louis Rams in 2004 and played with the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe in 2005 before an injury ended his playing career. He is the son of Fred Pagac, a veteran NFL player and coach who is currently the defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings.
