Lions are 16th After Opening 36 Holes of Midwestern State Invitational
The Texas A&M
University-Commerce men’s golf team is in 16th place after
the first 36 holes with a 640 (323-317) on Monday of the Midwestern
State Invitational.
Oklahoma City University leads the field with a one-over par, 569
(287-282) for a 12-stroke advantage.
Senior Danny Jun (pictured) leads the
Lions after posting a 152 (75-77) and is tied for 30th. Clark
Collier of Oklahoma City University is the top individual after
posting a four-under 138 (70-68).
Behind Jun for the Lions is freshman T.J. McColl,
who shot a 156 (79-77) and is tied for 48th.
Freshmen Tyler Duffy and Darren
Whitehouse are tied for 72nd with a 162 (79-83) and 170
(90-80), respectively and to round out the lineup, freshman
Ryan Gornto is 87th with a 181 (94-87).
Tuesday’s final round gets underway at 8 a.m. and the Lions
will tee off at 8:30 a.m.
