Dustin Gideon and T.J. McColl Lead A&M-Commerce Men's Golf on Day One of LSC Championships

Gideon and freshman T.J. McColl
(pictured) shot a first round two-over 74 to lead the
Texas A&M University-Commerce men's golf team to a sixth-place
finish after Sunday's opening round of the LSC Championships.
Play started approximately one hour late due to wet course
conditions at the WinStar Golf Course in Thackerville,
Oklahoma.
Both Gideon and McColl are tied for 8th along with nine other
players. Travis Klutts has a three-shot lead after the first 18
holes with a four-under 68 for a three-stroke lead.
As a team, the Lions find themselves eight strokes back of team
leading Cameron after posting a 301. For the remainder of the
A&M-Commerce lineup, senior Eric Westerman is
tied for 19th with a 75, senior Danny Jun is 33rd
with a 78 and freshman Tyler Duffy is tied for
42nd with an 80.
The Lions will tee off its second round on Monday at 11:45 a.m.
