Danny Jun Shoots a Final Round 69 to Lead A&M-Commerce to an Eighth-Place Finish at 2010 LSC Championships
The Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s golf team shot its lowest score of the 2010 Lone Star Conference Championships in Tuesday’s final round to finish eighth.
A&M-Commerce posted a final round 288 and a 54-hole total of 886 (301-297-288). Freshman T.J. McColl tied for 20th to lead the Lions, shooting a 221 (74-73-74).
Senior Eric
Westerman tied for 22nd with a 222 (75-73-74)
and senior Danny Jun (pictured by Jeremy
Enlow) shot a career-best three-under par 69 on Tuesday,
tied for 25th with a 223 (78-76-69).
Junior Dustin
Gideon and freshman Tyler Duffy tied for
36th with a 226. Gideon finished with a 75 on Tuesday
and Duffy closed out his tournament with a 71.
Abilene Christian edged Midwestern State by four strokes for the team title with an 852 (298-275-279). Individual co-champions, Alex Carpenter and Cyril Bouniol, who shot a one-under 205, led the Wildcats.
