LEASOR LEADS CRAWFORD-WADE INVITATIONAL AFTER DAY ONE

Texas A&M University-Commerce freshman Chris Leasor leads a 50 person field with a six-under 138 after the first day at the Crawford-Wade Invitational. Leasor has a seven-stroke lead on the strength of 11 birdies over his nearest competitor.

Texas A&M Univeristy-Commerce has a 23 stroke lead over the nine-team field.  The Lions shot a 592 (300-292) after 36 holes. The Lions have two additional golfers in the top ten including Aaron Crockerill, who is tied for third and Patrick Russo, who is tied for eighth.

Newcomer Matt Loyd in his A&M-Commerce debut is 14th after shooting a 156. Senior Dustin Gideon rounds out the A&M-Commerce Lineup with a 161, which is good enough for 28th place.

Tuesday's final round at the Tangelwood Golf Resort will begin at 8:00 a.m.
