Five Lions Set to Compete at 82nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

Five members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce track and field team were notified on Friday that they were selected to participate in the upcoming 82nd Clyde Littfield Texas Relays, April 1-3 in Austin.

Junior Cody Bolton and senior Chad Washington in the 100-meter dash, senior Leslie White in the javelin, junior Sunny Henderson in the 100-meter hurdles and junior La'Shara Jefferson in the discus.

With a time of 11.10 in the 100-meter dash, Bolton has the sixth fastest to date in the LSC and Washington has the 10th-fastest with a performance of 11.14. White has the best throw in the javelin in the LSC and the third best in the nation with his school record throw of 202-9 in the javelin at the season opening Lion Quadrangular. Jefferson is one of three A&M-Commerce performers to already record an NCAA provisional mark with a throw of 142-9 in the discus and the performance is the fifth-best in the nation.
