Lyndon Wyse Named Co-Lone Star Conference Field Athlete of the Week
Texas A&M University-Commerce senior Lyndon Wyse was named the Lone Star Conference Co-Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Wyse at last week's David Noble Relays won the triple jump with a career-best leap of 49-5 3/4 to set a school record. He eclipsed the previous mark of 49-2 1/2 that was previously held by Tommie Jemmerson in Denton on April 22, 2004. The mark is also a NCAA provisional mark and is currently the ninth-best mark in Division II. He also set a season-best in the long jump with a leap of 22-9 3/4 by four inches en route to a third-place finish.
Wyse and the rest of the A&M-Commerce track and field team will have their next meet on Saturday at the Michael Johnson Invitational on Saturday in Waco.
