Lions Earn Academic Honors from Lone Star Conference

Four members of the A&M-Commerce men's track and field team and another on the women's team were named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team when league officials announced the academic awards for men's and women's track and field on Wednesday.

The four selections by the men's team are the most among the Lone Star Conference member schools. Earning All-Academic Team recognition for A&M-Commerce were Anthony Tosie (Argyle, Texas), Brandon Womack (Lone Oak, Texas), Josh Conder (Cash, Texas) and Logan Kelly (Van Alstyne, Texas) and teammate Anthony Valle (Saginaw, Texas) was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

On the women's side, senior Leslea Traylor (Marshall, Texas) was named to the All-Academic Team.

All six will return to action later this week at the Lone Star Conference Championships, hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville as the heptathlon and decathlon will begin on Thursday.
