Prior to A&M-Commerce: Placed fourth at the regional meet in the high jump for Whitesboro High School his senior year...was also the District 9-3A champion in high jump his senior year...holds the school record in the indoor high jump...also participated in football, basketball, and tennis at Whitesboro...a member of National Honor Society at Whitesboro.

Personal: Born July 29, 1990...son of Donald and Cheryl Denton...a physics major...also plays trombone in the A&M-Commerce Pride Marching Band.
