Mattilyn McIntyre Named Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Week
Texas A&M University-Commerce junior guard Mattilyn McIntyre on Tuesday was recognized as the Lone Star Conference North Division Offensive Player of the Week. The Texarkana, Texas native scored a season-best 30 points and grabbed a season-best eight rebounds as the Lions' snapped a six-game losing streak in an 84-78 win over Cameron on Saturday. Four of her rebounds came on the offensive side to match a season-high. Prior to that, she had 18 points and five rebounds against Southwestern Oklahoma State last Wednesday. She went 10-for-11 from the free-throw line against Cameron and a perfect 4-for-4 against SWOSU. Five times in 2009-10, she has made all of her free throw attempts.
McIntyre and the A&M-Commerce women's basketball team will host East Central on Wednesday at 6 pm. At halftime of the game, Team Big Air will perform an exciting brand of acrobatic slam dunking.
