The Lions had a tough evening dealing with the relentless offense of the Mustangs. Midwestern State outscored the Lions 40-16 in the first half of the game, and did not allow the Lions breathing room dropping another 41 points in the second half defeating the Lions 81 to 44.

The Lion defense did not have an answer for Savannah Carver who had 6 rebounds and 15 points for the evening. A&M-Commerce had a rough patch where Midwestern State went on a 15 point run in the first period leading the Lions 6 to 21 at one point.  Turnovers were the Achilles heel for the Lions ending their night with 24 turnovers to the Mustangs 17.

The Lion offense was sluggish in the first half of the game only dropping 16 points, but it picked up a little more in the second half scoring 28 points. The leading scorer was Danielle Dixon who had another good night for the Lions by scoring 9 points, but the Mustang defense just proved to be too much. Breanna Harris had another big night for Lions notching 8 points and snatching 8 rebounds.

A&M-Commerce now heads to Lawton, Okla., facing a Cameron team who is currently 2-2, and has lost their only conference contest on December 3rd at 2:00 PM. The Lions will then hit the road down to San Antonio, Texas to face the Cardinals of University of Incarnate Word. The Cardinals are currently undefeated and will take on the Lions Wednesday, December 7th at 5:30 PM.
