The Lions came up short on their second road game of the season against Cameron University, 68-52. The Lions fell behind early in the game and just never seemed to be able to catch up. Sophomore guard Danielle Dixon kept the Lions in the game by scoring a team high of 15 points, but it just wasn't enough.
The Aggies leader Julie Paunovic caused trouble for the Lions all afternoon, scoring 19 points and notching 11 rebounds for Cameron. The Aggies came out of the gate scoring and immediately took the lead, and did not give the Lions a chance to catch up. Abigail-Leaupepe-Tele scored a jumper with 7 minutes left in the second period getting the Lions within 8 points for their last final push to catch up. Although, the Aggies did not let up and continued to push forward bringing the game to an 18 point gap with 1:27 left on the clock.
