The Lions continued their conference road trip to San Antonio, but suffered another tough loss to the Cardinals. The Lions were battling in the beginning of the game, but by the end of the first period the Cardinals started to pull away.

Incarnate Word turned on the burners in the second period dropping 41 points and holding the Lions to only 22 points. The Lions will continue their road trip to Denton to take on another tough test in Texas Woman's University on Tuesday December 13th at 7:00 p.m.

Sophomore forward Breanna Harris had her second double-double with the Lions grabbing 11 rebounds and notching 10 points. Harris has been one of the most consistent players for A&M-Commerce by averaging 8.7 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. Senior Forward Apreia Booker had her biggest night for the Lions this season scoring 10 points in only 15 minutes of play.

Sophomore Forward Danielle Dixon was the leading scorer again knocking down 15 points. This is the 6th game this season Dixon has been the leading scorer for the Lions. Incarnate Word dominated the boards snagging 50 rebounds, while the Lions only got 24.

The Cardinals had three different players in the double digits in points. Ashlyn Green went wild on the Lions dropping 19 points in only 21 minutes. Unfortunately it didn't stop there; Jocelyn Jarmon was causing trouble for the Lion's all night by snagging 13 rebounds and 9 points. Rose Whitehead came off the bench for the Cardinals, and then led the bench by 13 points.

Incarnate Word dominated A&M-Commerce on the boards all night, outrebounding the Lions 50-24 on the night, including 23-8 on offensive rebounds. Free throws also proved to be a key factor as Incarnate Word shot 72.4 percent from the charity stripe, hitting 21 of 29 while A&M-Commerce shot just 33.3 percent from the line, hitting just three of its nine attempts.

A&M-Commerce is ending their road trip in Denton, Texas against Texas Woman's University on Tuesday, December 13th at 7:00 PM. Texas Woman's University is presently a hot team sitting on a pretty 6-1 record, and coming off a win against Eastern New Mexico. Texas Woman's will play one more game against West Texas A&M on December 10th before welcoming the Lions.
