Opening Tip:
The Pioneers will be making the short trip from Denton, Texas to the Field House on Saturday, February 11 at 6:00 p.m. The Lions will be hosting a Pink Zone game against the Pioneers in order to aid in the fight against breast cancer. This will not be a double header with the Men's basketball team.

Series Information:
The Lions dropped a tough loss to the Pioneers earlier this season, 72-58. The Pioneers have been dismal on the road posting a 1-7 record in away contests. Texas Woman's is currently leading the overall series 38-27 with their win earlier this season.
Harris Continues the Domination for A&M-Commerce:
Sophomore Breanna Harris has been a key contributor throughout the season for A&M-Commerce, ranking second on the team in points per game (11.8) while leading the Lions in rebounds per game (9.6). Harris earned her first Double-double against Central Ohio State (Nov. 26) when she scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and never looked back. She notched double-doubles against Incarnate Word (Dec. 7) and at Texas Woman's (Dec. 13), against Newman State (Dec. 29), Eastern New Mexico (Jan. 7), and when the Lion's hosted Angelo State (Jan. 14). Harris broke her career high in points (17), when she scored 20 points and snagged 10 rebounds in her seventh double-double against the undefeated Tarleton TexAnns on (Jan. 18.). Harris had a dominating eighth double-double against Cameron on Saturday, where she tied her season high of 17 rebounds and dropped 19 points against the Aggies. Harris notched her ninth double-double this past week against A&M-Kingsville with 12 rebounds and 15 points in her first game against the Javelinas.
Freshman La'Tisha Hearne Beginning to Shine:
La'Tisha Hearne has been valuable to the Lion offense in 2 out of the last 3 games. Hearne broke her career high in points (10) by notching 14 points against Cameron back on Jan. 28. Hearne would come back two games later and break her new career high with 15 points. Hearne has shot 45.4% and grabbed 19 rebounds over the last three games.
Looking Ahead:
The Lions will remain home and host their second to last home contest. The Lions will be hosting powerhouse West Texas A&M on February 15th at 6:00 p.m. The last time these two teams met it was a bad evening for the Lions who fell 110-37. The Lions will then travel to Portales, New Mexico to take on the Zias of Eastern New Mexico. The Zias routed the Lions last time, 69-52. The Lions will make the trip on Saturday, February 18 at 1:00 p.m.
