COMMERCE, Texas -- A&M-Commerce fans are invited to help us pack the Field House this Wednesday, February 6, as both the Lion men and women have crucial Lone Star Conference games against longtime rival Abilene Christian at the Field House. The Lion women tip off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at approximately 7:30 p.m. (25 minutes following the conclusion of the women's game).

Wednesday's games mark possibly the final showdown ever between A&M-Commerce and Abilene Christian as the Wildcats will make the jump to Division I next season. The men have squared off against Abilene Christian for over 60 years, while the women's rivalry with the Wildcats extends back over 30 seasons.

There will be a handful of promotions and new additions rolled out this Wednesday to help give Lion basketball fans an even better game day experience:

• Kids Zone: An inflatable bouncy house and activity zone will be on the north side of the Field House and is free for all kids to play in.

• Lions Den Dinner Area: Dinner will be available for Lion fans in between the men's and women's games at the north end of the Field House. The cost is $6 per person and will include hamburgers, chips, potato salad, cookie and drink. Fans will be able to eat their meal inside the dinner area while watching the men take to the court for pregame warmups. A&M-Commerce students on the 19 meal plan will also be able to use their card in the Lions Den.

• Dance For Your Dinner: Fans will get to show off their best dance moves in a chance to win a free pizza from Dominos. The competition will take place during the under-four minute timeout in the first half of the women's game and the under-12 minute timeout in the second half of the men's game with the Lion cheer and dance teams looking for the best dancer.

• Halftime Contests: Two halftime promotions will take place during intermission of both the men's and women's games Wednesday. The first will be an obstacle course, followed by a relay race. Sign up as you enter the game for your chance to participate in the halftime promotions and win some fun prizes from Lion Athletics.

A&M-Commerce t-shirts will also be tossed to the crowd during various timeouts as well as following every Lion three-point basket throughout the evening. So make plans now to join the Lion basketball teams this Wednesday evening, enjoy a fun Family Night out and help cheer A&M-Commerce on to victory against Abilene Christian!
