Heather Pantalion Shoots Career Best Round of 73 in First Day of DBU Classic

The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team is in eighth place after Monday's opening round of the DBU Classic after posting an opening round of 329.
No. 4 Tarleton State leads the 16-team field with a 294 by 14 strokes over its nearest competitor LSC member, Angelo State. The Rambelles' Raelyn Smith is the individual leader after shooting a 2-under par 70.
A&M-Commerce junior Heather
Pantalion is just 3 strokes behind with a 1-over 73 and in a tie
for fourth along with Andrea Lowe of Tarleton State and Emily
Leahey of Central Oklahoma. In her round of 73, Pantalion recorded
three birdies and 11 pars en route to a career-best round for the
Pflugerville, Texas native.
Lions' sophomore Kathleen May in her
A&M-Commerce debut shot an 84 and is tied for 38th.
Sophomore Megan Benites is tied for
43rd with an 85 and seniors Ali Tanner
and Jamie Gililland are tied for 50th
with an 87.
A&M-Commerce will return to the The Links at Waterchase Golf Club in Dallas on Tuesday for the final round.
