A&M-Commerce Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at 2010 LSC Championships
The Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s golf team finished ninth at the 2010 Lone Star Conference Championships, shooting a final round 309. The Lions finished with a 54-hole total of 989 (353-327-309).
A&M-Commerce senior Heather Pantalion (pictured) closed out her collegiate career with a final round even par 72. The Pflugerville, Texas native tied for 20th, posting a 54-hole total of 236 (80-84-72). Sophomore Malonie Oats shot a final round 75 for a 54-hole total of 248 (93-80-75) to finish 37th overall.
Four places separated the next three Lions. Junior Kathleen May placed 44th with a 253 (90-85-73), junior Mallory Kempf was 46th with a 257 (91-82-84) and junior Megan Benites was 48th with a 264 (92-81-91).
Tarleton State edged West Texas A&M by four strokes for the team title with a 903 (321-293-289). Cassy Knight of Central Oklahoma finished with an even par 216 (74-72-70) for a two-stroke victory over Raelyn Smith of Angelo State for the individual title.
