Lions Finish 10th at Lady Buff Stampede

The Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s golf team finished its first team of the fall with a 10th place at the Lady Buff Stampede on Tuesday in Amarillo, Texas.

A&M-Commerce senior Heather Pantalion tied for 26th with a 168 (83-85) to lead the Lions.

Tarleton State won the 16-team title with a two-day total of 635 (312-323) to edge out Lone Star Conference member Central Oklahoma, who shot a 640 (329-311) for team honors. Jacqueline Lau of Tarleton and Linzi Allan of Newman shared the individual title after posting a 14-over par, 156.

For the Lions, junior Kathleen May tied for 49th after posting 180 (90-90), sophomore Malonie Oats tied for 52nd with a 181 (89-92), junior Mallory Kempf was 58th with a 184 (91-93) and junior Megan Benites was 64th with a 190 (86-104). As a medalist, Noelle Garcia was 80th after posting a 216 (103-113).

A&M-Commerce will resume the fall portion of its schedule at the UCO Broncho Classic in Edmond, Oklahoma.
