McMAHAN PLACES SECOND, LIONS FINISH THIRD AT LSC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Behind a solid performance from sophomore Chantry McMahan, A&M-Commerce closed out the 2011-12 season with a third-place finish at the 2012 Firestone Lone Star Conference Championships in Trophy Club. The Lions shaved six strokes off their opening round score, posting a 21-over 309 to card a 48-over 624 for the 36-hole tournament.

A&M-COMMERCE TIES FOR 12TH AT DOC HOUSEWRIGHT INVITATIONAL
A&M-Commerce closed out its final regular season tournament of the 2011-12 season, tying for 12th at the Doc Housewright Invitational at Harbor Lakes Golf Course. The Lions shot a 41-over 329 in round two, ending the 36-hole tournament along side Southwestern Oklahoma State.

A&M-Commerce wrapped up the opening round of the 2012 Doc Housewright Invitational with a 39-over 327, sitting 12 th out of the 14-team field at Harbor Lakes Golf Course in Granbury.

LIONS FINISH FOURTH AT RAIN-SHORTENED MIDWESTERN STATE INVITATIONAL
After waiting an extra day to get on the course at Weeks Park Golf Course, A&M-Commerce made it count by finishing fourth out of 17 teams at the Midwestern State Invitational. The Lions shot a 24-over 312 in the only round of the tournament, notching its second top-five finish of the season.

FIRST ROUND OF MIDWESTERN STATE INVITATIONAL RAINED OUT
Heavy rains in the Wichita Falls area caused the first round of the 2012 Midwestern State Invitational to be rained out Monday afternoon. The tournament will be shortened to a one-round, 18 hole tournament, getting underway with a shotgun start Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. With possible heavy storms again in the forecast for Tuesday, stay tuned to LionAthletics.com for the latest updates.

A&M-COMMERCE FINISHES EIGHTH AT 2012 LION INTERCOLLEGIATE
A&M-Commerce rounded out its annual host tournament at Tanglewood Resort, posting an eighth-place finish at the 2012 Texoma Chevy Dealers Lion Intercollegiate. The Lions maintained their position from round one, shooting a 42-over 330 to close out the 36-hole tournament with a 92-over 668, finishing in the upper half of the 20-team field.

McMAHAN'S TOP-15 FINISH PACES LIONS AT LADY RATTLER ROUND-UP
A&M-Commerce made a run over the final 18 holes of the Lady Rattler Round-Up, shooting a 48-over 332 to move up one spot and finish eighth out of the 11 team field. The 332 was the fifth-best round of the day as the Lions just missed finishing among the top-seven.

A&M-Commerce sits in ninth out of 11 teams at the Lady Rattler Round-Up at the Dominion Country Club in San Antonio. The Lions shot a 60-over 348, led by Chantry McMahan’s 11-over 83 and sits tied for 24 th in the individual standings.

McCOY NOTCHES TOP-20 FINISH AT SUPER SAN DIEGO CHAMPIONSHIP
Sophomore Chelsea McCoy matched her opening round total with an 11-over 83, finishing the 2012 Super San Diego Championship tied for 16 th overall with a 22-over 166. The top-20 finish is the third of McCoy’s Lion career, and first of the season, as she paces A&M-Commerce to a 12 th-place finish with a 112-over 688.

A&M-COMMERCE SITS NINTH AFTER OPENING ROUND AT SUPER SAN DIEGO
A&M-Commerce opened up the spring portion of its 2011-12 women’s golf season in sunny San Diego, sitting ninth out of 19 teams after the opening 18 holes with a 53-over 321. The Lions enter Tuesday’s final round holding a two-stroke advantage over both California Baptist and host Point Loma Nazarene.

LIONS ANNOUNCE A PAIR OF GOLF ADDITIONS FOR 2012
Texas A&M University-Commerce head golf coach Louie Bledsoe today announced two additions to the Lion golf program. Brent Reagan joins the men’s team and will start competing this spring for A&M-Commerce while Ali Leasor has committed to playing for the Lion women beginning in the fall of 2012.

High winds and chilly temperatures affected all 16 teams at the Dallas Baptist Classic, including A&M-Commerce which shoots a 43-over 640 over the final 18 holes at the Golf Club of Dallas.

Sara Diaz used an 5-over 75 over the final 18 holes of the UCO Broncho Classic to notch the first top-20 finish of her career, posting an 8-over 148 to finish tied for 11th in the individual standings.
