WOMEN'S SOCCER
A&M-Commerce and Cal State L.A. Compete to 0-0 Tie

The Texas A&M
University-Commerce women's soccer team posted a 0-0 tie on
Thursday night against Cal State-Los Angeles.
The Lions (2-0-1) and the Golden Eagles (0-1-1) exchanged 28 shots
for 110 minutes without a decisive goal.
In their A&M-Commerce debut, goalkeepers sophomore
Ashley Walker and freshman Randi
Hafele withstood a 20-shot attack from Cal State L.A.
Walker made four saves in the opening 45 minutes of action and
Hafele finished the contest with six saves in the final 55
minutes. Junior Meagan Lasley led the Lions attack
with three shots.
Cal State L.A. goalkeeper Heather Enswiler made four saves and Janet De La O posted a game-high five shots in 110 minutes of action to lead the Golden Eagles.
The contest was moved to UC San Diego because the the new grass on the soccer field at Cal State L.A. was not ready for competition. The Lions will return to action for its second contest in California on Saturday against UC San Diego, who is currently ranked No. 4 in the latest NSCAA rankings.
