Lacy Alexander Named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-District


Texas A&M University-Commerce junior forward Lacy Alexander was named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team College Division on Thursday.

 

Alexander, an education major from Midlothian, Texas, is joined on the first team with student athletes from Angelo State University, Eastern New Mexico, St. Edward’s, Millsaps College, Texas Woman’s and Trinity University.

 

With being selected to the first team, Alexander advances on to the national ballot for All-American honors and is the third women’s soccer player to earn first team academic all-district honors from CoSIDA.

 

Alexander is second on the team with seven assists, third in points (15) and shots (30) and is fourth in goals (4).

 

The Lions and Alexander, who are currently ranked No. 22 in the nation, are 12-2-3 overall and 6-1-2 in the Lone Star Conference as they head into their regular season finale on Sunday against East Central at 2 p.m.
