Soccer Team Holds First Practices for Upcoming Season

With 16 returning letterwinners and being picked to finish second in the Lone Star Conference, the Texas A&M University-Commerce women's soccer team held its first practices on Monday.

Among the 16 returning letterwinners is senior Meagan Lasley (pictured), who was recently picked as the LSC Offensive Player of the Year. Throughout the pre-season, check back to www.lionathletics.com for comments from the players and veteran head coach, Neil Piper.

Each day, the team will practice from 8:30 am till 11 am and a second practice from 6 pm till 8 pm. On select days, there is a third practice and the schedule is also subject to change.

The team will host its first scrimmage on Sunday, August 16th at 6 pm at the A&M-Commerce Soccer Field.
