Lions Fall to No. 10 Midwestern State, 1-0

The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to host No. 10 Midwestern State on Sunday afternoon.

Midwestern State (8-0-2, 2-0 LSC) reserve Lindsey Pritchard found the back of the net in the 95th minute to end the scoreless tie and give the host Mustangs the victory. Pritchard picked up a rebound on a shot from teammate Brandy O'Neal to deliver the game-winning tally.

Texas A&M-Commerce (6-4, 1-1 LSC) sophomore Devon Herrman had 11 shots, including five on goal in the defeat. The Irving, Texas native had an opportunity in the 61st minute that prompted an athletic save by MSU goalkeeper Mallory Whitworth to keep the Lions off the scoreboard.

The Lions were outshot by a slight 20-to-19 margin; however, they held a commanding 7-to-1 advantage in corner kicks. Senior Taylor Jordan made seven saves in the loss.

A&M-Commerce will return to action on Friday when they host West Texas A&M at 7 pm at the A&M-Commerce Soccer Field.
