Five Lions Earn Academic Recognition from Lone Star Conference
Texas A&M University-Commerce senior Lacy Alexander (pictured) was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team as conference officials announced the women’s soccer academic awards recently.
Also earning recognition was senior Jennifer Alvarado and sophomores Courtney Coch, Randi Hafele and Jordan McCarty as the four were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
The league’s sports information directors, who select players on the basis of both athletic and academic achievement, choose the All-Academic team. To be eligible for LSC academic recognition, student-athletes need at least a 3.30 grade point average and must be at least a sophomore. All academically qualified student-athletes not selected for the All-Academic Team are then named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
