Lions will host Eastern New Mexico and West Texas to try to stop two game skid and close their home schedule with two wins.

Recapping last week's action
The Lions dropped a pair of road games last weekend to Incarnate Word and Angelo State. Road games have not been kind to the Lions so far this season losing four of five away from Lion Soccer Field. Against Incarnate Word the Lions suffered a 1-0 loss with the lone Cardinal goal coming off a penalty kick by Amber Guenther in the second half. On Sunday versus Angelo State the Lions jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead thanks to Catie Hyde's first goal of the season. However Angelo State put three unanswered goals on the board, two coming from Lauren Bateman, to win 3-1.

SCOUTING THE ZIAS
The Zias are coming off a loss to Abilene Christian and are one game ahead on the Lions in the conference standings at 4-5. Back in September the Zias defeated the Lions in Portales, N.M. 1-0. The Zias are winless in Commerce sporting a 0-3-1 record all time. Eastern New Mexico is paced by the duo of Danielle Thurman (#9) and Victoria Perez (#18), both led the team with ten points on the season.  Jackie Perez (#12) leads Eastern New Mexico in assists with three and Victoria Perez is second with two.

SCOUNTING THE LADY BUFFS
The Lady Buffs come in tied with Incarnate Word at the top of the Lone Star Conference with a 6-3 record. The Lions only road win comes against the Lady Buffs in Canyon back in September. The Lions and Buffs have split the nine meeting in Commerce evenly with a 4-4-1 record all-time. West Texas is led by the leading scorer in the LSC, Leslie Briggs (#9). She has 13 goals and 31 points on the season. Emily Krenek (#18) and Jesse Thomas (#4) are second with four each. In goal for West Texas is Yvette Bedoy (#1), she has recorded three shutouts and has a .785 save percentage.
