2012 Bobby Lane Invitational Results (PDF)

ARLINGTON, Texas – A&M-Commerce wrapped up competition at the 2012 Bobby Lane Invitational at Maverick Stadium on the campus of UT-Arlington, going up against some of the top teams in the region at both the Division I and Division II level. Nine different Lions finished among the top-20 in six different events on the afternoon.

The throwers and jumpers highlighted the afternoon for the Lion women as Whitney Hargraves finished eighth in the long jump with a 5.62 meter showing, then followed it up with a 10 th-place finish in the triple jump (11.32m). She edged out teammate Breana Anderson-Burton, who placed 15 th (10.94m).

In the throws, Ashley Ross notched a pair of top-20 finishes, placing 12 th in the discus (43.55m) and 14 th in the hammer throw (36.53m). She was joined by teammate Abigail Leaupepe-Tele, who recorded a 14 th-place finish in the discus (40.90m) and finished 15 th in the hammer throw (22.21m).

A&M-Commerce's middle distance runners notched the other two top-20 finishes with Brooke Odom finishing 18 th in the 400 meter dash (59.70) while Ytshe Fletcher placed 16 th in the 400 meter hurdles (1:13.48).

Up next for A&M-commerce is a trip to Austin for the Texas Relays, one of the top collegiate meets in the country. A handful of Lions will make the trip to Mike A. Meyers Stadium, with full results being posted as they become available at LionAthletics.com.
