Depth is on the way for a Texas A&M University-Commerce volleyball team that wrapped up the season with only seven active players, as Lions head coach Mark Pryor announced the signing of seven newcomers for 2009.

After collecting 41 digs over two matches against Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M, Texas A&M University-Commerce junior Lauren Flynn surpassed Sara Wedberg’s career digs mark and now is the all-time leader in the A&M-Commerce record books with 1,655 career digs. Adding to her achievement, Flynn was named Co-Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the LSC.
